Because bilirubin management depends on timely results, families must be reachable by phone for updates and plan changes. Calls may come from an unfamiliar number.
If feeding becomes ineffective, the baby is difficult to wake for feeds, diaper output decreases, or symptoms worsen, families should contact the care team promptly.
This service is billed as CPT S9098 for in‑home neonatal phototherapy management. A receipt with CPT and diagnosis codes can be provided for reimbursement.
